Astrological overview for February 2016 and how it affects your sign.

The global financial wobble being experienced is no surprise as Uranus squares Pluto so strongly currently.  Uranus in Aries is a destabilising influence and Pluto in Capricorn is about prevailing economic established power.  This instability is still in the air this month.  China is one of the major causes of the wobble and is a Libran country and both Uranus and Pluto are now attacking her from two fronts from their respective positions in Aries and Capricorn.

 Mars currently in Scorpio is always a little intense as the obsessive and controlling influence of this position brings a ruthless influence to world politics, notable around the 7^th when the Sun squares Mars  (both in intransigent fixed signs).

Syria is a Scorpio country and this therefore would seem to be a particularly difficulty period for that benighted nation (if possible to get worse).

At least there is a growing visible awareness of the planets dire state re climate change effects, courtesy of Jupiter in Virgo as he enlightens us (Jupiter) to the need for more regard for the protection of the purity of nature and the delicate balance of our natural world (Virgo) and the need to address climate change (already a little too late).  When Jupiter is retrograde, as he has been throughout January and will continue to be, till May 9^th any growth is more likely to more spiritual or non material in awareness, forcing us all to become more conscious of the value of everything as opposed to the price of everything, in terms of the human condition, the planet and its creatures.

Mars in Scorpio can also bring extremist behaviour to a climax and voices of extreme views are likely to be heard (certain US presidential candidates fit the bill here)

Neptune in Pisces certainly focuses on the power of the sea and currently its symbol is strong re the refugee crisis. It has become for so many either a route of salvation from persecution and death, or threat of another sort of death as escape is risked on the waves.  The power of the sea (and the arts) is especially notable around the 28/29^th when the Sun and Neptune are in conjunction.

This is, in the main, Aquarians month and a chance to renew energy for the year is theirs, but for those born around February the 6^th-8^th, there is around the 7^th a distinct sense of intensity of potential confrontation in the air and your own impatience and intransigence is potentially ill advised… however with the happy blend of your ruler Aquarius simultaneously, there will be a chance to gain a eureka insight simultaneously.

 Mercury is in Capricorn up till the 13^th.   Therefore for CAPRICORNS born after 7^th January, before the 13^th, there is a feeling of extra mental agility and communication abounds and so too CANCERS born after the 8^th of July will before the 13thalso feel that others will be keen to engage with them. Whereas Aries and LIBRANS born after April 5^th and October 9^th respectively may find up to the 13^th that lines of communications are less than easy. TAUREANS born after the7th May and VIRGOS born after September 9th will also feel before the 13th that their flow of wisdom and interaction with others is sound.

After the 13^th AQUARIANS born up to February 11^th will be razor sharp in thinking and incisive in speech and LEOS born up to August 14^th will find that after the 13^th they will have little problem with loneliness as lines are busy.   So too will LIBRANS and GEMINIS born up to the 11^th of October or 13^th June respectively, as they will have little trouble in lines of communication.. However TAURUS born up to May 12^th and SCORPIOS born up to November 14^th may well find that care is needed to avoid misunderstandings or clumsy communications.

Venus is in Capricorn till the 17^th and for all CAPRICORNS born after the December 31^st till the 17^th, there will be a distinct sense of the glow if affection around them.. Your warmth and charisma will exude and feeling of well being abounds.. So to will CANCERIANS born after the 9^th will be anointed before the 17^th with a sense of radiating an attractive vibe to all around and kindness and love is in the there. Finances can also benefit.. To some extent TAUREANS born after April 30^th will also up till the 17^th feel some benefit re the affections as will Virgos who are born after the September 2^nd … For ARIES born after March 30^th and LIBRANS born after October 2^nd there is a danger of excessive indulgence and lack of moderation in areas of love and money, but the good times can role, if a little caution is kept in mind.

 After the 17^th Venus moves into Aquarius and from then on AQUARIANS born up to the February 4^th and LEOS born up August the 8th will after the 17th be the recipients of good vibes and warmth and affection from within and without.   Also benefiting will be GEMINIS born up to June 6^th and LIBRANS born up to October 8^th, who will find that after the 17^th, the force of well being and support and good feelings tom others are in the ether then.  However TAURUS born up to May 6th and SCORPIOS born up to November 7^th after the 17^th there could be a temptation to over indulge and have a sense of entitlement that could be a little resented or later regretted a little, so have a care.

 Mars currently so powerful in its own home sign of Scorpio …will be creating for Scorpios born November 5^th-19^th a real sense if obsessive determination and ruthless will to achieve an objective and there will be no room for compromise, to the point f creating either magnificent achievements or making ruthless enemies, so just ensure your motives are just and reasonable and for the greater good,, to ensure the outcome is all round a good result.  So too TAURUS born May 4^th –18^th, need to step carefully as others out there are likely to be rather uncompromising in their response to you in terms of challenge and possibly even behave in a rather intimidating manner. Tread carefully round others who may be dark opponents with deep agendas. Do not tempt others to so respond by any provocation… If PISCES born March 4^th-19^th or CANCERIAN born July 5th-21^st, then your courage and strength the determination to be successful in your constructive skills in creativity, and/or in love life, or in your plans for travel or long distance exploits or in legal issues. This a time when you can both get a boost of energy and constructive progress in all your goals.

 However AQUARIANS born February 4^th-18^th may find themselves a little impatient and over impulsive in relation to career and authority figures, whist LEOS born August 6^th-20^th may be tempted to impulsive and impatient attitudes towards family and real estate issues and be generally touchy and over reacting.. so think before acting/speaking.

Jupiter is still hovering in Virgo in retrograde motion. He is bringing growth to those affected on a more subtle level when retrograde. His bonuses/growth are internal and more spiritual and emotional than material currently. He is now directly affecting this VIRGOS born September 12^th –16^th. So at some point in the month Virgos born between those dates will be feeling the bountiful hand of growth (inner or outer) luck, progress, well being, special travel, confidence and a sense of reaping good rewards, or at the least protection from difficult forces.

So too will PISCES born between March 9^th-14^th be feeling a rush to enjoy, indulge, to be generous and indeed to maybe over reach and overdo.. Extravagant good times are in the air, and others may tempt you in this direction   Enjoy, but with some care. Benefiting too are TAURUS born May 9^th-14^th and CAPRICORN born January 9^th-14^th. These two groups will be either enjoying love life, extra strong creative talents, offspring issues are positive with possible extra fertility and also travel calls, as does growth in knowledge, wisdom and success in many areas and confidence and celebrations are potentially in the air..

 However if born SAGITTARIUS around December 10^th-15^th or GEMINI born June 9th-14^th, there is a warning to maybe be a little less excessive in your outgoings and desire, as there is a tendency to be over confident and to over reach and over expect in areas such as home /real estate /family or in career expectations.

Saturn meanwhile still rambling through Sagittarius is now directly affecting SAGITTARIAN born around December 6^th and GEMINI (by opposition) born June 4^th-7^th. There will for these two groups a feeling of block, frustration, some pessimism/worry and a feeling of needing patience and self-discipline and realism to get through any challenge. Maturity and groundedness and a sense of austerity is a must now and to face the music and step up to the plate to do what is necessary.. It brings some karma home to roost and humility is needed to right wrongs and to do what is right.. If the metaphorical mountain is climbed with resolution and courage and by doing what is needed, the rewards will be good at a later date. This is about the efforts needed to build good future infrastructure to your life. Also remember it denotes the march of time and the need to look after the body and to pace yourself.. Also for PISCES born March 4^th-7^th and VIRGOS born September 6^th-9th, there is a similar sense of frustration /hard work and tests, but again with sense of doing what is wise and necessary and learning ones lessons and thinking of deferred gratification, you can appreciate this time retrospectively, even is tough at the time.

More easily, if ARIES born April 3^rd –6^th or LEO born August 6^th-9^th, then Saturn is now enabling you to show your most mature and constructive, courageous and disciplined side, as you deal with issues in a way that is a credit to you and which wins admiration.

Uranus is moving slowly but surely on through Aries and is still affecting, (but now nearly completed) the lives of AEIES born April 6th-9^th and LIBRANS born October 9^th-12^th. For these people there has been and remains for a month or two, more a sense of complete shifting sands in unpredictable mode.. Others have created shocks and been catalysts (welcome or not) in the Libran group and for the Aries there has been an internal shift that has created a need for freedom, change and adrenalin and a sort of wake up call to claim your authentic needs, but risk has been part of the process and indeed impatient impulse.. Uranus’ job is to awaken and enlighten through change shock and unavoidable disruption which kick starts you into a new future, necessary fro growth in some way, even if uncomfortable. The only warning is not to be too impulsive, look before you leap and let change take you rather than taking anything that looks like change for change sake and don’t take too risky risks.!  Let go and let god, if you like. This has been a journey rather than an arrival, but an arrival will compose itself soon.

For CANCERS born July 8th-11^th and CAPRICORNS born January7th-10^th this too has been a year or so of some turmoil possibly either domestically or career wise, or just in general consciousness or all three. The unexpected has been in the air, but the leap into the new is part of your journey.  A slightly rebellious feel has been necessary to grow into a new more confident you.

For LEOS born August 9^th-11^th and SAGITTARIANS born December 9^th-11^th there has been a pleasanter road to new awakenings and liberty and a new sense of believing in a better and more appropriate future for self and your talents and your charisma and uniqueness has been liberated more..

Neptune is still hanging around (since March last year and will continue till February 2017) the suns of PISCES born around February 26^th-March 1^st bringing a real hit of idealism, emotionalism, inspiration, creativity and need for spirituality and a rebuttal of the material, a need for music, the sea, nature and the arts in general. More negatively, a need to escape, to over idealise to feel confused, tired, fogged or be too vulnerable to self deception and vulnerable to others wily ways, or just too sacrificial, or being in danger of addictive tendencies, but empathy, sensitivity and lack of strong boundaries are all potentially part of the picture. Having real psychic moments are also very possible.  Keep an eye on and be alert to the negatives, but foster the positives.  This is a rather blind transformation, like a metamorphosis.  Ultimately redemption can be had when you metaphorically reach solid shores again.

 So too VIRGOS born August 31^st-to September 2nd who are experiencing the opposition of Neptune, are feeling that it is others who are confusing or potentially creating smoke an mirrors and lack of clear sight re others is all possible. The emotional side and the spiritual and creative side is very strong as is the empathy and vulnerability to being overwhelmed by the heart, but keep grounded and see others clearly not via rose coloured spec or through wishful thinking and check the small print of people and things.

GEMINIS born May 30^th and 31^st and SAGITARIANS born November 30^th and 31^st too

are still currently vulnerable to self deception or confusion and are needing to experience their heart as much as their logic now… get sleep and have music/nature/the sea to heal.

If CANCERIAN born around June 30^th or July 1st or SCORPIO born around November 1^st or 2^nd then the Neptune trine you have been experiencing since last March continues to inspire you to use you best creative, spiritual and emotional sensitivity for others, yourself and the planet to grow in stature for the greater good.

As for Pluto, well he has moved now to the other side of the half way point of Capricorn and arrived at 16 degrees… Hence all CAPRICORNS born around January 6^th-8^th are now feeling the impact of this mighty dwarf for the coming 2 years. This only happens once every 248 years, so prepare for a real transformation and ultimate new beginning, but also a need to confront the principle of destiny and the importance of big of events which tests your ability to deal with issues that can be life changing, but which allows you to experience your own power, which can be remarkable.

So too CANCERIANS born around July7th-9^th will feel the opposition of Pluto which entails potential confrontation with the power of others and it will demand that you handle this wisely, consciously and with a sense of objectivity and a clear conscience and keep away from all abuses of power. Pluto feels primeval in power and creates eruptions that feel profound and which are destined.  You have a choice how to handle this.  Keep squeaky clean. Endings and new beginnings are the realms of Pluto. A phoenix out of the ashes is the coming message over the next 2 years or so..

For ARIES born around April 5^th-7th and LIBRANS born October 9^th-11^th, there is also a suggestion now and for around 2 years that power struggles are erupting internally re the need to empower yourself and find your true centre, liberated from others control.  This can be domestically and /or professionally. Give birth to this new sense of destiny, power and determination wisely, resolutely and kindly.  Notably this will be in the air for aprox 2 years years.

 However for TAUREANS born round May 7^th, Pluto is bringing for this year and next, a new sense of personal empowerment and a desire to be regenerative in life fore self and others.. Power of some sort is thrust upon you or you take it as you feel you are somehow meant to.. This can also being growth and regeneration connected to increased wisdom /learning academic triumph, spiritual strength and other countries can hold /regenerative to you.

 So too VIRGOS born around 9^th will also have a journey over the coming 2 years that may be subtle or clear, but it takes you to anew confidence a in self and in the field of creativity and in the potential to show your passion and strength in matters of the arts and also in the romantic/love life domain. Offspring issues can be powerful too.

 Finally the Moon is New in Aquarius at 19 degrees on the 8^th and is Full in Virgo at 3 degrees on the 22^nd.

The 8^th therefore for AQUARIANS born around the 8th may feel that their birthday period (solar return) signals a refreshing sense of new beginnings, whilst VIRGOS born around the August 27^th, may feel that the 22^nd of this month, carries a feeling of a necessary or inevitable closing of a chapter. 

Astrological overview of 2016.... specifically January and how it affects your sign

2016 is a critical year, as even though Pluto (power/abuse of power) and Uranus (rebellion) are still at loggerheads, Neptune (potential redemption) is now creeping up to offer a new dimension through his growing benign influence on Pluto. This means that although a meltdown of the old order is very much in the ether as the wrongs of history and our abuse of the planet come home to roost (war, extreme inequality, climate change, for which we will all pay a price), there is a new value system (Neptune) fighting for breath. Neptune is now so strong in its own sign of Pisces (once every 165 years). Hence the strengths can be of the most positive or most negative extreme.

This year Saturn (challenge /reality checks) also continues to move deeply through Sagittarius (globalisation) and brings the global challenge of the fact that the problems of those many miles away are our problems now too. Refugees, climate change (all too apparent recently) and economic upheavals are no longer within the confines of a few countries.  Terrorism too has become a scourge of the world and we can no longer look the other way.

Neptune produces idealism, compassion and also confusion (and in its worst form, impassioned, delusional paranoia such as Isil /Daesh), but when in harmony with Pluto it encourages an ability to use the power of the heart and soul to bring a collective desire to tap into our hearts for the cause of the common good. There is a collective desire to get past the old value system that has brought us to moral bankruptcy and to rethink the way forward without greed and destructive ruthlessness towards the planet. Unfortunately this will only really happen when the problems are inescapable for us all and when the developed world truly faces the worst of climate change, which the next 10 years or so will bring.

 The polarisation between left and right (Pluto in Capricorn versus Uranus in Aries) which is virtually exact currently as these planets both reach the critical midpoint through the two signs, is now manifested as reactions to the current world problems, for instance personified in such figure as Donald Trump and Jeremy Corbyn  (can you imagine them ever even being able to have a conversation?)  This vision alone demonstrates just how much of a challenge it will be to get any compromise on a way forward when we are talking about such alien viewpoints and value systems.

 All extremes are pathological to some degree… but narcissism (a personality disorder) seems to be a powerful force among the powers that currently hold sway.  Indeed research shows that slightly higher than average narcissistic and indeed psychopathic traits (fearlessness and lack of concern for the fallout of their actions on others) are usually found in the personality profile of those who hold extreme and largely undemocratic power and wealth in both business and politics.

And that characteristic is very underlined while Pluto (power/abuse of power) is in Capricorn  (establishment /economy)

Is a government in power, who secured only 37% of the vote, democratically elected? (Current British government)

Pluto in Capricorn since 2008 till 2025 has indeed put the market and the worship of money and growth as the central priority on the planet politically…and we are paying the price. 

When we also have to face (as we are beginning to now) the inevitable outcome of the abuse of antibiotics (i.e. pathogenic resistance to them because of overuse mainly because of their routine use in industrial meat production) and the implications of the outcome for humanity in terms of future commonplace loss of life from simple infections, only then will we start to understand just how collectively unthinking and abusive we can be. We will always pay a price. Collective hubris leads to collective nemesis.

Therefore we have to hope that Neptune in his constructive form, can help bring emotional intelligence back into the picture and this may only happen when the chips are so down, there will be no choice.

This may start to creep in noticeably this year.

Jupiter now in Virgo (environment /nature /purity) till September 9^th  (when he enters Libra) has prompted in the recent Paris climate change summit a greater benign/mire hopeful response to the huge impact of climate change, but when it comes to global financial vested interests, one can only feel cynical. (e.g. David Cameron’s  “impassioned” speech re owing it to our grandchildren to act now against climate change, whilst only weeks before he had massively cut subsidies to renewable energy companies, whilst  continuing to subsidise massively the fossil fuel industries)

When Jupiter moves in Libra (balance /justice) next September, there may well be a renewed push globally also for more social/economic equality and fairness.

As far as this month is concerned, Mercury is retrograde from the 2nd till the 25th. Between these dates, there will be a sense personally and collectively of delay, powerlessness, blocks, transport and communication problems and glitches. It is important to use this slowed period to take stock and reconsider strategy, rather than to just get annoyed and frustrated. It is however advisable to get things achieved and delivered, if it is totally necessary, either side of those dates. Those most affected are likely to be Capricorns born after January 6th and Cancers born after July 7th.

Venus is in Sagittarius till the 23rd suggesting that all Sagittarians will for some days during that time have a greater sense of charm, love, aesthetics and sense of well being. Till the 23rd also all  Geminis  at some point this month will experience a feeling of affection from others more strongly than usual and a sense of good times and indulgence will role.  To some extent before the 23rd Aries will also feel a boost notably connected to long distance issues and Leos before the23rd will have greater joy related to romance and children’s issues at some point during that period.  

 After the 23^rd Cancerians born up to December 31^st will feel the power of others warm and loving input and so too will Taureans born up to April 30^th and Virgos born up to September 2^nd will feel benefits from long distance or related to romance, offspring and creative pursuits. Mars is in Libra till the 3rd and this suggests that late Librans born after October 19th will feel that the first 3 days of the month will bring out their assertive side (often hidden) and this may be necessitated by others’ influence. Also in the first 3 days of the month Aries born after the April 18th may find that others are confrontational and you need to be careful how you handle them.   Similarly those Capricorns born after January 18^th and Cancers born after July 19^th, may find the very early days of the month are suffused with some irritation and impatience related to work or family issues. Saturn of course is still coursing through Sagittarius and this month it is definitely those Sagittarians born December 3^rd-8^th who will be feeling the challenging power of this benevolent despot of a planet. Reality checks, hard work and stepping up to the plate are needed, as well as a very practical, mature attitude to facing facts and doing what is necessary.  Look after the body too as Saturn makes us tired, a little negative and vulnerable physically. Don’t give in to too much negativity. Remember Saturn in the end makes us stronger, if we learn his lessons. He is also of course a karmic schoolteacher. Similarly Geminis born June 1^st –6^th may be finding that the challenges are coming from others, who are either necessary, if strict teachers or who are unreasonably oppressive. Only you need to honestly decide. Relationships are challenging and mature courage and insight is needed to understand the dynamic.

Pisces born March 1^st and 6^th and Virgos born September 3^rd –8^th may be feeling that struggles are within one and lack of confidence and negativity is around as blocks and delays dominate. Keep focused, realistic, patent and self-disciplined and you will get through this. Look after yourself, be austere and embrace the necessity principle and be very grown up in response.  Problems may be related to career or home and domestic issues. Either way, this lesson is worth learning… and keep healthy and well rested.  However if Aries born April 1^st-5^th or Leo born August 2^nd-8^th, there is an opportunity to work hard in a way that is clearly focused, disciplined, courageous and constructive and to attend to what is necessary and maybe uncomfortable, but with relative ease and success. The outer planets of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are still meandering trough Aries, Pisces and Capricorn respectively. When they affect people in rare transits, they are protracted influences.  Currently all Aries born April 5^th –7^th are still feeling (since June 2014) the final influence of Uranus on their Sun. which has brought change, uncertainty, impulse, the unexpected, and the disturbing, but eventually a kick start into a freer more innovative future.  The journey is nearly over.

Similarly Librans born October 8th-10^th .are coming to the end of a protracted period of disruption brought into their lives by others and events out of their control are bringing long-term change. To some extent Cancers born July7th-9^th and Capricorns born January 6^th-8^th, will have felt since around June 2014, a restlessness and lack of certainty re their life and events related to career and or home life… There has been change in the air, and lack of settledness in life, and it has been important to have not jumped into change for its own sake, but to have opened ones arms to a changing journey on its own terms.

 If Virgo born 8^th-10^th, for nearly 2 years you have had a sense of being prone to seeing what you want to see and projecting onto others a vision and not seeing the reality. It is important to see clearly both people and ideas for what they are, and there has been a definite danger of deceptive circumstances from others.  Although sensitivity has increased and emotionalism too, it can have misguided you and clouded your objectivity and reason. It has been and remains important to look after the body and to keep life simple, with the joys of nature, music and the arts as your friend. Sleep is important, but the danger of negative escapism and addictive behaviour has also been underscored.

 Even for Geminis born June 6th-8^th and Sagittarians born December 7th-9^th, there has been a keener sense of emotional power and a tendency to self deception or wishful thinking,, and although the power of the heart has been strengthened , it has been and remains important to keep it real.

GLOBAL ASTROLOGICAL OVERVIEW FOR DECEMBER 2015 AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOUR SIGN

The current Square from Saturn in Sagittarius to Neptune in Pisces is indicative of reality checks (Saturn) that thwart excessive idealism/empathy (Neptune). The tightening of border controls between countries and the sense of an increased intolerance/suspicion/fear of refugees by governments and many citizens in the wake of the shocking terror attacks in Paris, is classic of the fear /caution / cynicism /reality checks (valid or otherwise) that Saturn brings, when clashing with the unconditional open boundaries that Neptune as a symbol, suggests.

Neptune, also, negatively manifested can distort truth and can pervert ideology. Extreme emotion rules that can be ruthless or inspired  … Isis or Daesh, or whatever they are to be called, have selectively distorted the Koran to suit their own extremist and ruthless agenda. The potential dangerous equation /confusion (again a negative manifestation of Neptune in Pisces) of the Muslim religion with Isis, is like equating Christians with the Klu Klux Klan. Muslims have suffered at the hands of Isis more than any other group. Neptune, in extremis, can distort, blind and lack rationality and bring paranoia.

Saturn squaring Neptune indeed brings a need for caution, but above all, pragmatic realism, rather than blind fear or over idealism, but pragmatic realism is subject to individual viewpoint. Corbyn’s view of our response to the Syrian debacle, as he would see it, is pragmatic idealism (if somewhat confused), but Cameron’s view is more, as he views it, pragmatic reality (if populist and possibly short sighted).

Hence in fact the whole of the left versus the right debate has evolved to be a question of a polarisation between possibly over idealism and (often) ruthless pragmatism.   That however sums up the debate about what exactly the human condition is.

Ideologically, it boils down to whether people/nature /the planet (idealism?) should be our priorities, or market /economic forces (pragmatism?).

The climate change talks in Paris have lost attention on the altar of the Isis threat, but climate issues are a potentially a bigger global threat of an existential nature to our planet than any terror group. Saturn (economics / establishment) currently in Sagittarius (global) squaring Neptune (collective unconscious, the power of nature) in its own home sign of Pisces (nature/seas) is a symbol of what a terrible threat our unremitting globalised economic forces are to the forces and balance of nature.

There is some indication (planetary wise i.e Sun sextile Mars on the 3^rd, and Mercury trine Uranus on the 3rd and Sun trine Uranus on the 9^th and Venus trine Neptune on the 11th) that there maybe more progress than anticipated in the Paris summit, but with Mars square Pluto on the 6^th and 7^th and Mars also opposition Uranus on the 11^th, there is a struggle and there will be a ruthless digging in from those with vested interests in the status quo, of course.

Economic forces have in many ways become the enemy of the heart and soul of many people and of our home planet (Saturn versus Neptune). This current difficult angular relation between these two planets is now pointing that out clearly. However with Pluto (obsessive powers) in Saturn (establishment/ conservatism) ruled Capricorn (establishment economics), since 2008 until 2025, the slant towards maintaining the economic status quo and protecting it, is quite ruthlessly hard wired in the established powers that be. 

This coming month indicates an ongoing global fear and a particularly dangerous period when unexpected shock events, that are potentially quite explosive and geophysical disturbances are in the ether, is around the 10^th –13^th, when Mars is opposing Uranus.

Also the 6^th and 7^th is a time when Mars squares to Pluto and that is a ruthless/angry and controlling combination.

GLOBAL ASTROLOGICAL OVERVIEW FOR NOVEMBER 2015 AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOUR SIGN

The world does seem to be in a bit of a mess. So much is unravelling as the result of ongoing, complex conflict in so many countries and the impossibility of the prevailing global economic system.   The emphasis on Scorpio this month indicates that many things are now coming home to roost, especially as Uranus (rebellion /change/awakening) is in the second half of Aries now and Pluto (crisis and meltdown if power is misused) is at the halfway point through Capricorn (economic/political establishment). Things get intense from hereon, in terms of the result of previous hubristic behaviour by nations/corporations. This is a theme that will strengthen over the coming 10 years or so, (while Pluto and Uranus travel through the last half of Capricorn and Aries respectively)

It is likely that David Cameron will maybe regret the day he was returned to power without compromise, as domestic/economic and international issues pile up in problematic form.

Jeremy Corbyn has a very difficult 1^st few weeks of this month, as transiting Saturn is so strong and uncomfortable in his chart then. Reality checks about life in politics and heavy pressure from others impinge.

Neptune in Pisces, strong in his own sign now (and for the coming 10 years) fogs so many issues currently and suggests a sense of hopelessness, confusion and indecision as to solutions (the refugee crisis:  a huge Diaspora of displaced people fleeing and crossing boundaries and seas in confusion is an archetypal Neptune image.)  Neptune is also, of course God of the sea /oceans, and the oceans will be certainly an issue that will increasingly be highlighted over the coming 10 years (as Neptune does his work in Pisces) The urgency of the need to keep our oceans healthy and inhabited becomes undeniable, just as also the scarcity of fresh water will be come more intense and an increasing source of conflict.

A certain longing for a better value system and a less materialistic, more people/planet centred hunger will grow in the collective unconscious as Neptune dissolves so much certainty about the validity of the current prevailing value system of the powers that be.  Corbyn’s appeal, especially to the younger generation does show this hunger and at the least, he is a symbolic catalyst for a need for a fundamental rethink of priorities.

We need an alternative viewpoint to the prevailing worship of the market and the pursuit of the holy grail of economic growth, no matter what the cost to the earth and its people and creatures.

This month there are some reality checks re international problems notably on the 25^th and the 30^th when Saturn looms large. There may also be dangers of disruptions geophysically/and accidents around the 23^rd when Uranus is activated. The last week of the month also sees disillusionment as reality checks re certain global conditions show their true face… Saturn squaring Neptune will bring us all down to earth with an uncomfortable truth about something then.

Relatively positive days for the planet are around the 6^th, 10th, 11th and 13^th, when some planetary harmony is in the ether.

OCTOBER GLOBAL ASTROLOGICAL OVERVIEW AND HOW IT AFFECTS YOUR SIGN

           This is a month of some challenge, but that is hardly surprising when one takes a look at the world….  The Sun opposes Uranus and squares up to Pluto in the first 2 weeks and Mars opposes Neptune too around the same period which signals the unpredictable and is quite explosive with significant power struggles, danger and deceptive circumstances globally. Similarly late month when Mercury opposes Uranus and squares Pluto the energy levels in the ether especially re communications are less than peaceful.

            The coming Pluto entrance into the last 15 degrees of Capricorn (till 2025) is about to see much unravel in our global system, not least financially. The refugee crisis is a karmic test for the globe to tackle, as much of the causes of this mass exodus lies in past western strategy.

Saturn now re-establishing itself in Sagittarius for the long haul, till late December 2017, is also going to bring to all our doors the challenging aspect of globalisation and the responsibility we have in international issues connected with the displacement of peoples from all points of the globe. Karma (Saturn) in Sagittarius (international issues) is in our face with the massive need to address (Saturn) the international refugee problem with intelligence and humanity (Sagittarius), and to look at the root causes of the problem in a pragmatic way (Saturn).

Similarly the globalised power of corporations that transcend national sovereignty, will be showing their dark side in terms of outwitting national interests and governments, and revelations will force us all to face squarely the somewhat endemic abuse of power.  The VW scandal and the FIFA investigations is an opening example. Neptune in Pisces now is blurring boundaries and borders and is creating Diasporas of religions and nationalities as home countries become uninhabitable because of internecine, largely religious wars.  The plus side is that our humanity is being touched and there is an opportunity for redemption, and to overlook religious differences/prejudices on the altar of humane spiritual consciousness and inclusivity (Neptune in Pisces).

  Revolution is in the air and extreme right and left wing attitudes are hardening Jeremy Corbyn the new leader of the British labour party has a chart (no time known) that displays not a little passion (Mars conjunct Moon in Taurus) and high intelligence (a forensic Mercury) but with a huge sense of social justice and idealism (Jupiter in Aquarius) and he is uncompromising by instinct.  He represents the huge shake up that is coming in terms of the growing clash between two fundamental philosophies of the human condition and how society should be run. He represents a social movement, rather than a political party… and embodies a deeply felt by many, a divine discontent, (not least the young) with the current political status quo

 It all boils down to attitudes re the power of money and whether that should be at the centre of all our society and policies, or should it be people and the planet that are more the centre of our focus, with money being subservient to that. It is a fundamental split of opinion as to our priorities as a planetary goal. Corbyn may indeed turn out to be a catalyst alone, but symbolically he is a very significant person/event.

 November however will be a very challenging month for him, notably the first half, when Saturn opposes his Sun., especially as Saturn squares his Sun natally.

            Jupiter is now in Virgo, fortunately will trine up to Pluto between the 11^th and 13th of this month, which allows a real combination of luck and determination on a very practical level, to solve a global problem.

          

            Mercury moves direct from the 9^th in Libra and flags up a way forward for us all after some hold ups, delays and a period of a need for rethinking of strategy.  All Libras will feel a particular sense of moving forward after the 9^th and all Aries will also have a sense from the 9^th that relationship issues get somehow released from complications.

             Leos born after August 17^th will have, before the 8^th an opportunity to feel the power of love in their lives and creativity is emboldened and Aquarians born after February 13^th will be similarly having their attractiveness and magnetic powers flagged up, whereas Scorpios born after November17th and Taurus born after May 14^th, need before the 8^th to be careful of spending more than is affordable, or possibly or eating and drinking more than is wise.

However Sagittarians born after the December 16^th and Aries born after April 15^th will before the 8^th feel a sense of warmth well being and popularity as Venus harmonises with your sun.
