JULY 2017 GLOBAL ASTROLOGICAL OVERVIEW PLUS YOUR HOROSCOPE

This is not the most relaxed of months; in fact it is rather tense and confrontational.  We have come to expect the unlikely and the rather shocking over the last few years and months and there is little to indicate that this will subside. Clearly it is not meant to.

Mars is conjunct the Sun for much of the month being exact from the 23^rd to 29^th, suggesting warlike noises on the planet and much anger and over assertiveness. The USA is in high fever mode politically.

In the first 3 days of the month when Mars opposes Pluto, there is a serious power struggle mood, in many ways in many places and explosive tempers, can lead to dangerous action. Mercury is also conjunct Mars in the first week, when harsh aggressive words, may be triggers for a serious and dangerous response. The mood among the populace of many countries, not least England will be strong, but less than stable. Political insecurity and total uncertainty starts to really haunt Great Britain this month (and for many to come). The Full moon in Capricorn on the 17^th will simultaneously conjunct Mercury in the chart for England (1066 chart). This may well signal significant eruptions and revelations.

 

Endings of chapters (Pluto) are very much flagged up also this month. Around the 10/11^th, when the Sun opposes Pluto, escalation of tensions again is apparent globally.  Once more the USA is a focus, notably as Trump’s chart is so emphasised between the 9^th and 15^th as Mars conjuncts his Saturn and Venus.  This will be affecting his reputation and his public position. . Very significantly, Saturn will also be exactly in opposition to his Sun from the 6^th and opposing his Moon from the 23^rd  (both happening only every 30 years).  Both these transits are haunting him powerfully, on and off for over 3 months, signifying that till mid October, he has to deal with a very large onslaught of pressure and reality checks and not a little karma.

However in early August, he has a mitigating Jupiter effect, which may give him a get out clause.  Jupiter will also bring release of pressure for him in late August and early September. This may take many forms, including over confidence and over expansion, or a release of stress from the challenges of his position, which can manifest in rather circuitous, unexpected ways.

The 17^th-21^st of this month brings eruptions and the left field not only socio-politically, but also potentially geophysically, with earthquakes or volcanic eruptions or disruptive natural phenomena more likely, as Uranus is so activated then as Mars and the Sun square up to that eruptive, maverick and unpredictable planet. Expect the unexpected.

As we have already had a taster of, misuse/abuse of technology and the potential global disruptions this can cause, is also likely to become more likely when Uranus (technology) is triggered. Cyber warfare will be a significant danger in our future especially from 2025, when Pluto with its huge potential for misuse of power, moves into Uranus ruled Aquarius, till 2044.  We can choose then, of course, to utilise significant technological advance for the common good and to solve huge global problems, but as always, ability and motive is a potentially critical mix.  The problem is, that scientific development, knowledge and ability do not necessarily correlate with the equivalent growth of wisdom.

Economically the global economy is starting this month to look dangerously precarious. Jupiter is now beginning to square Pluto, being exact in early August. This indicates over risky financial arrogance in big financial institutions, and personal debt and borrowing issues are then building to flag up a real danger of economic crisis/crash. Significantly unregulated uber neo liberal Capitalism that has evolved over the last decade or so, is heading for a global nemesis that will likely begin to be pretty evident in late September this year, when Pluto in Capricorn (economy/establishment) moves direct.

From February 2018 when Pluto moves into the last decanate (last 10 degrees) of Capricorn, our economic system is likely to begin to look extremely vulnerable with a major necessary revolutionary period ahead, after some significant meltdowns or even some metaphorical death throws.

This month Venus opposing Saturn between the 23^rd and 25th, may also be a significant indicator of financial hubris that we will all be privy to.

The good news (yes, even this column will acknowledge the good news) is that with Neptune now in Pisces (from 2011/12 till 2026), the growth of collective sensitivity /compassion and an awareness of a very urgent need to honour, love, value and protect our planet, the environment and its creatures, is growing.

 All children born between these dates will, for life, be so much more aware of and passionately feel these values and grow to treasure the natural world. They will also value the power of the arts as vital for our growth and health.  Not that I am saying they are our salvation, but they will at least rebalance/challenge (hopefully) a prevailing socio/economic value system that has existed for far too long, that has all too clearly proved to be one that “knows the price of everything and the value of nothing”.

The full Moon is on the 9^{th in} Capricorn at 4 07 GMT. This may well be a trigger day for eruptive events globally.

The new Moon will fall on the 23^rd in the very earliest degree of Leo, and is suggestive of a potential new chapter for many, not least sowing metaphorically new seeds, hopefully that will ultimately reap a good crop.

 ARIES

Much activity in your Solar 4^th House suggest a need for paying a lot of attention to family and domestic issues this month, constructively so.

 

 It is important, before the 6^th, if born after April 9^th, to ensure that communications are not misunderstood.  

 Between the 6^th and 25^th all of you are blessed with extra creativity, particularly writing and interchange with offspring and lovers is very constructive and brings happiness. 

 After the 5^th, for all of your, there is also the ability to combine heart with mind in your thoughts and conversation. 

 Before the 20^th, if born after April 6^th, you will also be aware that Mars is squaring your Sun.  This does mean that there may be impulsiveness and irritation, notably on the home front, which can be counter-productive.  Stubborn determination and anger that you feel, or which others show to you, can cause discord, so count to ten. 

 However, after the 20^th, if born up to March 28^th, your energies are focussed, constructively and you can achieve much, particularly in the field of creativity, romance and inspiring others.

 

 This month, Jupiter is opposing the Suns of those born April 2^nd to 7^th.  For this group, there is a great sense of indulgence, generosity, good times and other people may bring benefits, but beware that you’re not tempted to push the boat out too far, by yourself, or indeed by others. 

 There is much caution and constructive discipline going on now for those born April 11^th to 14^th.  Travel may be for duty and academic pursuits may be significant; and demand hard work and focus.  Loyalty and duty are in the air.  

Uranus is now sitting right on the Sun, in his once every 84 year visitation, of those born April 17^th to 19^th; and he will be so doing on and off until March 2019, which does indicate that this is a period for many of you of a bit of a roller coaster of change and where you will be feeling impatient and quite revolutionary and maverick in behaviour.  Change is inevitable.  Let it happen.  Do not push the flow.  The unexpected and the left field is all part of a catalyst to be experienced as a leap into a new future, even if at times it feels insecure and uncomfortable.  You are awakening to a new, unique part of yourself that will ultimately be valuable.  

 For those born April 6^th to 9^th, Pluto is currently making you aware that you need to be alert to power struggles with others, particularly professionally; and that you have to be very careful about misuse of power yourself.  Don’t’ taint or you will be tainted.

TAURUS

 Communication will be important to you this month.

 Before the 6^th, if born after May 10^th, you are impressive and constructive.

 

However, between the 1^st and the 25^th, clarity is needed and misunderstandings are rife, particularly with family.

However, after the 25^th, if born up to April 27^th, there is a window of opportunity for excellence and breakthroughs with offspring and in love life. 

 Before the 5^th, if born after May 15^th, love life is flagged up.  Financial advantages, affections and charm are all in your orbit.  There is also an extra aesthetic sense.  

 Before the 20^th, if born after May 7^th, your assertive willpower is constructive, well directed and people are impressed.  

However, after the 20^th, if born before April 27^th, you are a little like a bull in a china shop on your home territory; and indeed other people in your family, or in your home circumstances, need to tiptoe around you.   Stubbornness, irritation and impatience is in the air. 

 Neptune is currently, and for some time to come, till early 2019 no less – enhancing the spiritual and creative lives of all born May 3^rd to 6^th.  Friendships are like soul mates and there is a great sense of being inspired by the heart, to have greater compassion, empathy, sensitivity and either on an ideological or personal level. You want to improve the world around you, in a very non-material way, but one, which knows the value of everything, but not necessarily the price.  Your emotions will flow more freely and healthily and creativity, such as music and the arts, is much easier to access.  Being near the sea is also very healing. 

 Finally, those born May 7^th to 10^th are still under the influence of a very powerful and rare positive Pluto.  This will be so until the end of next year.  This brings courage, insight, a forensic mind, able to speak the truth and to have power over circumstances .A regeneration and transformation of self is really possible right now.  Long distance, academic and legal interests can be very much involved in this process.

 GEMINI

 It will not do any harm this month to focus a little on finances and the rationalising of that area of your life.  

 Between the 6^th and the 25^th, you will all benefit from an even more acute and curious mind than usual; and your communications are particularly effective.  

 However, after the 25^th, early Gemini’s, born up to May 27^th, need to ensure that your brain is not muddled and that communications received, or given, are not confused or confusing.  

 Venus moves into your sign on the 5^th; and is going to bring to you all an element of extra affection, love, warmth, charm and happy enjoyment.  Good times roll and cupid can be active. 

 After the 24^th, Mars brings positive influences for all born up to May 29^th.  You are competitive, determined, courageous and constructive both in speech and action.  Energy is high and can further your goals. 

 Jupiter is also very much the friend now of all born June 3^rd to 8^th.  He is bringing optimism, positivity, growth, inner or outer, and possibly happy travel, and the belief in self and often just good luck, particularly to do with love life, around children’s issues and even speculatively, but with caution. 

 Saturn however, is back to bring a little bit of a challenge to those born around June 12^th to 15^th.  Similar that which you experienced late last December and first half of January.  Lots of restrictions and reality checks, particularly in relationship to other people, are in the air.  This is a time for re-consideration of action and re-thinking.  A necessary pause.  The reality checks need to be taken note of.  They are for a reason, but duty and obligation may well inevitable, which one can’t turn one’s back on.  Step up to the plate and do what you know is right.

 However, if born June 3^rd to 6^th, you are still, since April 2017, until early 2019, in a situation where you need to be wary of smoke and mirrors around you, particularly at work, but also know that your heart is becoming more important than just your bank balance, or possibly than just the power of your intellect.  Idealism is in the air, but keep grounded and ensure you check the credentials of everybody and everything.

 CANCER

This is your month and it is a time to shine and to take centre stage, notably before the 6^th. 

 After the 25^th, if born up to June 28^th, your communication and intellectual skills are impressive and you are persuasive.  

 Before the 5^th, if born after July 17^th, friends can be particularly loving and supportive and you to them; and social life take on an extra boost for enjoyment and amorous opportunity. 

Mars however is in your sign all the way up to the 20^th, directly affecting all born after July 9^th, so there is a warning that with this level of determination, energy, enthusiasm and impulse, this can be a period where you have to choose between either positive, constructive assertiveness or being overly controlling and potentially over-assertiveness.  Your energy and drive to achieve will be significant.  Ensure the motive is good.  The impact of men in one’s life can also be extra significant.

 Jupiter is currently squaring the Suns of those born July 5^th to 10^th.  This is bringing you a tendency to be a little over confident, or even a little arrogant; and the potential to bite off more than you can chew needs to be watched.  Enjoyment is there but over-indulgence and over-expansion is a little dangerous.  Don’t let your expectations get carried away.

 Uranus is now directly affecting those born July 20^th to 22^nd in his once every 42-year challenge to your Sun.  This will be a long transit, not over until early 2019 and will involve a certain level of restlessness and desire for change, notably in your career direction.  It will bring unexpected events that are out of your control, which although unsettling, will kick-start you into a more liberated future.  Be flexible, go with the flow and know that the changes going on within and externally are meant to be and are in some way awakening and enlightening, but you need to follow your more true-to-self path in your career direction.

 Neptune is very helpful and inspiring now for those born July 5^th to 8^th, as he has been for some months.  You are more spiritually and creatively aware, quite psychic, very sensitive, empathetic and compassionate, even more than is the norm for your sign.  Enjoy and let others be the beneficiaries.  Long distance travel may be part of this journey.  

 However, for those born July 6^th to 11^th, beware people who are coercive, controlling and who misuse power.  Walk away.  You need to bear this in mind until the end of next year. 

LEO

This could be a month where other people and friendships are significant, notably before the 6^th.  Certainly between the 6^th and 25^th when Mercury is in your sign, you will all have the ability to have a say and be listened to, but ensure that you’re not overly self-centred and subjective.  Learn to listen to the other guy. 

Before the 5^th, if born after August 17^th, be careful about being sycophantic to others in your career.  False charm and over cosying up to others is not the answer. 

 

After the 5^th, you are all in a position to be able to take advantage of friends and social life who can bring you progress and happiness and you indeed can do the same for them. 

  

 Mars however moves into your sign on the 20^th, which is a bit of a warning for all born up to July 30^th.  You may be subject to impatience and impulse and irritation with other people; and indeed they may well want their pound of flesh from you.  You will certainly find that assertiveness of some kind will be in the ether, either yours or others’.  You will be courageous, but make sure it’s not foolhardy.

Jupiter is the friend now of all those born August 5^th to 10^th.  It can help with an enhanced level of wisdom. Travel is a positive input and certainly communications with others can be very benign and helpful. 

 If born August 14^th to 17^th, Saturn is currently forcing you to be mature, grown up, step up to the plate, accept responsibilities and deal with issues in a constructive, pragmatic way; and indeed duty and obligation to others, financially and romantically are flagged up.

 

Uranus, however, is creating a great sense of liberation in the sense of authenticity, if your birthday is around August 21^st.  Long distance issues and legal issues can be on your side and there is a sense of liberation from the old that is welcome; and it is other people who may be triggers for this; and sudden travels can open your eyes and your mind. 

 The new Moon falls at the very beginning of your sign on the 23^rd at 9.46 GMT, directly affecting those born round July 22^nd. This is a time for the sowing of a new crop for the future.

 VIRGO

Social life may figure more strongly this month in a very positive and happy way. 

 Before the 6^th, if born after September 12^th, good news and happy communications with others is uplifting. 

 After the 25^th, if born before August 30^th, your mind is extra sharp and analytical and your capacity for learning is enhanced.

 Before the 5^th, Venus is in your compatible of Taurus.  Those born after September 17^th are able to combine romance and travel and long distance issues very harmoniously.  The heart is happily underlined. 

However, after the 5^th, you will all need to be aware that any vainglory or hypocrisy, particularly in your public standing, will not do you any favours.  Excessive charm for self- seeking purposes may be seen through by others..  Extra indulgence is possible. 

 Before the 20^th, Mars will be directly affecting those born after September 9^th, in a constructive way.  You will be assertive in groups, with leadership talent; and friends and associations will be great encouragers to show your potential and you will bring out the best in others.  Energy is high and constructive.  Particularly when it is collective and collaborative. 

 Saturn however, is a little challenging now if born September 13^th to 16^th, as indeed he was late last year and at the very beginning of this year.  A lack of confidence and some struggles will reveal themselves and world looks a little like a harder mountain to climb than usual.  Domestic and family issues may be causing you some concern, but this is a time to bite bullets, do what is necessary and face facts with courage and determination, to lay good foundations for the future; and to accept delays as being a time of re-thinking.  Look after your health as well.  You are a little more tired and vulnerable than usual. 

 Neptune, currently, until February 2019, is in his once 165 opposition to your Sun.  This is creating a situation where you need to be extremely wary and careful of those who are less than black and white in motive; and don’t project onto other people what you want to see.  Beware of victims to save and heroes to worship.  It is not that simple.  Enjoy the sea and exploring more spiritual avenues and creativity is inspired, but keep grounded and realistic and check out the details of everybody.  Take off the rose coloured spectacles, where appropriate.  

 However, for those born September 9^th to 12^th, you are still in the middle of a regenerative period where you are more forthright, determined, empowered, particularly romantically and creatively.  All with a sense of purpose; and your insights and understanding is clear and powerful.

 LIBRA

Focus on career and public standing is flagged up this month and after the 6^th and before the 25^th, you will all have opportunities to communicate valuably and with good results to others, notably friends.

SCORPIO

July is an excellent month for vacations for your sign, or for any international dealings, particularly this month, before the 6^th, if born after November 12^th, where long distance negotiations and legal issues can also be flagged up positively. 

 However, between the 6^th and 25^th, you all need to be wary of ensuring that communications in your working life are such that you are all reading from the same page.  There is room for misunderstandings and confusion.

 

 However, after the 25^th, if born up to October 30^th, good communications with friends and in a group situation are enhancing of your power. 

 Venus is in your opposite sign before the 5^th, bringing to all born after November 17^th a great feeling of improved relationships with loved ones and romantic opportunities.  Affections and amorous feelings are highlighted. 

 Before the 20^th, Mars is also on your side, if born after November 9^th.  Again, travel is underlined and this time possibly for a rather single minded purpose and serious adventure is flagged up, but constructive, positive actions and dealings are very much underlined – legally, internationally and academically.

This is not a month for superficiality.  Jupiter is harmonious now for all born December 5^th to 10^th.  Friendships, leadership skills, looking for a common purpose, not just for your own gains, are all emphasised as positive, wise and successful.  Good people are around you.  Travel is also protected. 

However, Saturn is currently, as you probably know is in your sign and is now back directly affecting those born December 13^th to 16^th.  For this group, as last late December and January, there is a sense of a reality check.  Life feels tough.  Responsibilities, obligations weigh on you and you’re tired.  Look after yourself.  Do only that which is necessary, but do it well and be practical and realistic.  Delays are there to teach you to re-think.  Bite the bullet and step up to the plate.  Don’t let under-confidence get the better of you. 

 Uranus, however, has just started to inspire the lives of those born December 19^th to 21^st.  Until early 2019 you will be creatively inspired and others romantically will be catalysts for a new awakening, as indeed can offspring.  The need for freedom and authenticity; and to take a leap into a more appropriate future for you, will be aided and abetted.

 However, for those born December 5^th to 8^th need until early 2019 to always be aware of seeing things clearly and not through rose coloured spectacles, but uncertainties abound. Take it easy.  Don’t push the river.  See where the journey takes you, without panic.

CAPRICORN

Relationships figure strongly in your life and you can learn a lot from them this month.

 After the 25^th, if born up to December 29^th, serious communications that are very constructive, particularly long distance, are underscored.  Your mind is sharp and deep.  

 Before the 5^th, if born after January 16^th, cupid is inspired, creative and aesthetic appreciation is strong and a general feeling of enjoying life; and one’s offspring are underlined. 

 Mars however, before the 20^th, is bringing for all born after January 7^th, the potential for some confrontation with strong-minded people.  Assertiveness should not tip into aggression, but others will hold you to account.  Just be careful of not inviting confrontation.  Indeed, others may be living out unexpressed aggression in you.

 AQUARIUS

 Work and everyday routine figures largely in your consciousness this month.

 Between the 6^th and the 25^th you will all have the benefit of very interesting and informative communications from other people and indeed good conversations generally. Your wisdom is received and others give you good advice.   This is  a brilliant time for successfully negotiating in personal or in business relationships.  

 Before the 5^th, all born after February 13^th, you need to have a little care of over-expenditure and extravagance, particularly on the home front, but after the 5^th you will all benefit from a boost to creativity and a boost to fun, love life, dealings with offspring and sense of appreciation of the joys of living.
